Why Blog now? and Comic Con 2010

Why start to Blog so late in the game you ask?, particularly when everybody and their grandma is doing it?? Because I feel like its a great therapeutic way to get my thoughts and ideas out. Also in no way do I expect anyone to read this blog so in these RANDOM Blogs I am going to vent, complain, praise, obsess about the things I see, watch and experience in my life. If someone like Perez Hilton who's site is really garbage can put pictures of stars and make fun of them, can be successful then why cant I or anybody else for that matter.

Comic Con'10
Just recently I was back in my home state of Ca attending Comic- Con 2010 for the first time. Comic-Con is something Ive wanted to attend for along time. Ever since i was a kid around the age of 10 when I first started to collect and read comic books had I actually heard about the Con(I like calling it that) through older adults in the comic book stores. Quick note: When I would go to Amazing comics in Long Beach, Ca the people who would hang out in Comic book stores where to maybe many peoples surprise or maybe no surprise? not kids but men in there late 20's to early 30's. There would be kids sprinkled throughout the store but for the most part it was an adult atmosphere.
Anyway hearing about it from these guys and their excitement about it always stuck with me and it became something Ive wanted to attend for along time. But for some reason or another it took me until the age of 24 to finally get there with my friend Kelly. The only word that comes to mind to describe it is its Overwhelming! The sensory over load walking on the Exhibit floor, seeing thousands upon thousands of geeks and fan boys who love the same shit as you!! Its pretty awesome. A small part of me wishes I could of went when I was younger before it became more mainstream with the additions of television, movies, and video games. The tone I believe maybe ten years ago would of been very different. I feel as if the artists, writers, and creators would have been more accessible as a fan, while the exhibit floor would have been less chaotic. Also the demographic of the Exhibit floor, ten years ago would be dominated by middle aged men and no kids or hot chicks for that matter. Which is a good thing now to see some ladies there. Seeing panel after panel in hall H is worth the endless time spent waiting in line and walking every inch of the Exhibit hall floor while navigating your way through the endless masses, is definitely draining and tyring but welll worth it.

I can go on and on about the people I saw Olivia Munn (HOT!!!) or Sly Stallone (really funny) or the endless other mind numbing awesomeness but for anyone who is remotely passionate about not just comics but movies, TV shows Comic-Con is for you!! Comic-Con has never been sold out before up until this years and last, and the giant its grown into now in 2010 is incredibly nuts. This guy is definitely going to 2011's and cant wait to stand in the endless lines and eat over priced nachos, hot dogs and see the endless costumes and celebrities and oh yea the comics to!
